Literacy Centers
*Children participated in one of 3 activities:
-new just right book
- rhyming activity
- book report (book of their choice)
Reader's Workshop
*We reviewed what it means to "activate prior knowledge" before engaging with a new book. Each child shared their example. Children read independently for 10 minutes.
Story
Sarah read a few pages of her "Fox in Sox" Dr. Suess book.
We started reading "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" - a request! :)
Math
*We played some mental math games with children recording their responses on a white board.
*Children played the growing and disappearing train game with a partner using plus and minus die with a number die to dictate if they were to add or subtract from their train and if so, how many.
