Writer's Workshop
*Today's lesson was to use your "writing muscles" - to try and write what you really want to say and not just what is easy!
Literacy Centers
*Children were introduced to new "just right" books. They practiced reading them together and then independently.
*Children drew and wrote about where they can read a book (it could be silly! :)
Reader's Workshop
*We read, "David Gets in Trouble" by David Shannen. The children were asked to remember and then share with a partner, what happened in the beginning, middle and end of the story.
Math
*Children added to their 100's charts
*We took a 3D shape walk and photographed the 3D shapes we could find in our school
*Introduction of the subtraction symbol. The children used objects to demonstrate some simple "take away" problems.
