*Children practiced working more independently during writing time - "do your best and keep going! "
*We practiced reading/singing our butterfly song books which are now compete! We practiced reading left to right and top to bottom.
Reader's Workshop
* Children had the opportunity to practice: handling books carefully, reading the whole time, and using whisper voices. Children "read" for 7 minutes.
Math
*We continue our creation of "sets". With a partner, children created a set of 4 (2+2) to share with the class.
*We read, "Mouse Count", and practiced counting forward and backward to 10.
