Mini lesson:
*Stretch words out and record the sounds you can hear in order
*Finish yesterday's work before starting a new idea
Literacy Centers
*Children read one of 2 books: "Mom" or "Dad"
*They wrote the word several times to facilitate the easy production of the word
*each child made a page about what a mom is doing: cooking, working, painting, running, etc.

*We practiced using positional words to move objects accordingly (up, down, over, under)
*Children followed a classroom "obstacle" course to move their bodies over, under, between, behind, etc.
*We read, "Rosie's Walk", about a hen who moves all around the barnyard - over, under, through, etc.
Story
"Jingle Dancer", the contemporary story of a young Muskegee Native American who is excited to perform at her first Pow Wow.
