Writer's Workshop
"Writers are Readers too!" We talked about writing a word and then reading the word before going on to the next word to help us remember what we are writing and to be sure we can read our own writing. :)
Math
*Matching dot number cards to numeral cards with the same value.
*Using a ten frame to create combinations that equal 10 (using red/yellow counters)
*We read, "Ten Little Fish", practicing subtraction from 10-0 as the fish swam away.
Literacy Centers
*Using letter tiles to spell our classmates names (matching them to their name cards)
*We read a Scholastic News about how people vote for president
*Weather drawing - what do we wear indoors in the Fall?
