Today's Activities
Writer's Workshop
Children each selected a favorite piece of writing from October to publish. They edited their work to check that they had completed their story with: who, what, and where; writing on each page.

*Children read a Scholastic News about autumn leaves and watched a mini video about what happens to leaves in the Fall.
They arranged the words from the repetitive text in our newspaper in the correct order, "Look at this leaf", and did a leaf rubbing.

Reader's Workshop
Minilesson: readers reread their favorite books
Math

*children represent the number 10 with different configurations (i.e. 2+2+2+2+2)
*interpreting information on a graph (leaves from our Scholastic News)
