Today's Activities
Writer's Workshop
*Our lesson today was that writers often picture in their mind what they want to draw on their paper to help them share their information. We reviewed that writers, "think, draw, write".
Math
We practiced writing the number 3 - three different ways. The children used shaving cream to trace the number in the cream, magna doodles to practice and unifix cubes to build it!
Story
We read, "Caps For Sale". The children helped tell the story by chorally reading the peddlers "Caps! Caps for sale, 50 cents a cap!" And the monkey's, "tzsk, tzsk, tzsk!".
Literacy
We learned a new song about the weather. The children had a lesson on the safe use of scissors and appropriate use of a glue stick to make a sun for their weather book.
*We are learning songs about each letter of the alphabet - A is for Alice who met an alligator and B is for Bubba the bear (Bingo's best friend!).
Special - Art Studio with Mrs. Parry
The children finished their self-portraits.
