Today's Activities
Writer's Workshop
The children finished working on their "How To Have Fun on a Snow Day" work. The children took turns sharing what activities you can do on a snow day, recorded the words, "you can" and finished with their idea. They illustrated each step.
Math
*class graph - how many pets do you have? 0 was the most common answer.
*ordering objects by length - remembering to start with an equal point (lining up the bottoms of the objects) before you can accurately compare 2 or more things.
*writing numbers to 50.
Literacy
Penmanship practice for the letters Dd. Children drew and illustrated a page for their alphabet book featuring the letter D.
Story
We read, "Welcome to the Ice House" about the animals and the seasons in the Arctic.
