Today's Activities
Science
The children explored different ways to move along a path - zigzag, curved, and straight. They experimented by being a robot that had to move along the path as directed by their "programmer" and then moving a ball along the same path. They observed how the ball moved: speed, and path. They recorded their observations in their Motion journals.
Math
*Telling, drawing, and writing a number story.
*Identifying given attributes in a game (and marking the appropriate game square)
*Estimating and counting 3 different quantities of small counting bears.
Literacy Centers
*Penmanship practice - Qq
*Dab a word - identify a given word on the game board and dab it with the paint dabber.
*Word work with the -am family, building and writing a word to match a given picture.

"Round is a Mooncake" - a book about 2 and 3 dimensional shapes in our everyday world.
