Today's Activities
Writer's Workshop
The children completed another dictated sentence today, "I will eat a red apple for my lunch." Our goal is independent writing, and attention to spaces, punctuation and a capital letter at the beginning.
Math Centers
*Find the missing number on the 100's chart. Children took turns covering up a number on the chart while their classmates write their guess on a white board.
*Pattern block puzzles - the children had to complete the same puzzle 2 different ways (using different blocks the 2nd time).
*The attribute guessing game - the children ask questions to help determine which block of many is the mystery block (is it red, does it have 4 sides?)
Penmanship practice for the letter U.
Draw and write in response to our story, "If You Give a Moose a Muffin"....
Special - Music and PE
