Today's Activities
Writing
Children continued work on their final "how to" from Tuesday. They practiced editing, rereading, adding punctuation of capital letters.
Math
Children began collecting data for their individual survey. They could ask a question like, "do you like hockey?" or "Which do you like more, pink or blue?" They will use the collected data to create a graph to share the information with the class.
Reader's Workshop
The children practiced reading their easiest books first, then their hard books, and then their hardest books! We talked about how this helps to "warm up" their brain for reading.
Literacy Centers
* Introduction to new "just right books" and any new words.
*Illustrating a "winter scene" page for their weather journals.
Special - Library
